This is just the start.”
Some of Africa’s favourite Kidfluencers are being recognised for having gained a considerable online following by creating child-centred content on social media through the Favorite African Kidfluencers category.
Previously won by then-four-year-old internet phenomenon Sbahle Mzizi, this year’s nominees are YouTuber Alakhe Mdoda, young prodigy Lethukuthula Bhengu, dancer, singer, and social media influencer Rethabile Mokgatla, social media sensation, Siba Bogopa and multiple-award-winning and officially The Worlds Youngest DJ, DJ Arch JNR, with Nigeria’s favourite ‘Unidentical Duo’ twin models Olianna and Olivia closing off the list.

I grew up on Nickelodeon and my kids love watching, so we’re all ready for the stunts, surprises and superstars that await us at this year’s show”, said Nate Burleso, Host of American weekly television sports show NFL Slimetime.
“I got slimed at the KCA’s in 2021, saw my sister get slimed at last year’s show and now, no one is safe with me as co-host! Shatta Wale Issues An Apology To Former Manager Bulldog

Outspoken Ghanaian dancehall artist Charles Nii Arman Mensah, also known as Shatta Wale, has issued an apology to his former manager, Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, popularly known as Bulldog.
In a letter shared across social media on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, Shatta Wale apologized to Bulldog for accusing him of murder and other improper social behaviour.
Shatta Wale also wished to retract the said comments and statements.
Portions of the letter read,
“On November 2, 2022, I published a series of posts on my social media pages and handles about Mr Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, alias Bulldog.
The publications included a statement that I have now come to know was generally misunderstood or misconstrued as MR HANSON’s confessions to me that he had a hand in the murder of FENNEC OKYERE (alias FENICKS).
The publications also included statements that imputed immorality or improper social behaviour to Mr Hanson and other highly placed public figures.
I wish to retract each of the statements in the said series of publications, as I did not mean to say that MR HANSON had a hand in the murder of FENNEC OKYERE.
I also wish to apologise to Mr Hanson and all the persons whom my publications of November 2, 2022, have caused pain, agony, anguish, shame, ridicule, or hatred.”
The apology is in fulfilment of relief sought by Bulldog in a defamatory lawsuit filed against the defendant in November 2022.

King Paluta Deserves Artiste Of The Year Award – Manager

Cofy Dela, manager of Ghanaian musician King Paluta, has asserted that his artiste is the clear frontrunner for the Artiste of the Year (AOTY) award at the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs), citing groundbreaking hits and industry influence throughout 2024.
Dela’s remarks come ahead of the awards ceremony scheduled for May 10 at the Accra International Conference Centre.
In an interview, Dela emphasized King Paluta’s consistency, chart-topping releases, and robust fan engagement as key factors distinguishing him from other nominees, including King Promise, Stonebwoy, and Black Sherif. “His presence and impact this past year have been dominant across the board,” Dela stated, adding that no contender in the category matched Paluta’s reach.
Dela also reflected on his decision to manage the artiste, attributing it to Paluta’s “unique vision, drive, and commitment to his craft.” He described the rapper as a model of perseverance, whose dedication inspired him to help unlock his full potential.
When asked about navigating the industry, Dela acknowledged challenges but highlighted adaptability and continuous learning as crucial to his positive experience. To stay informed on trends and public sentiment, he regularly monitors music blogs, news platforms, and social media. He advised artists to prioritize a consistent visual identity, a distinctive artistic voice, and a strong digital presence to thrive in the competitive landscape.
The AOTY category remains one of the most anticipated at the TGMAs, reflecting not only commercial success but also cultural resonance. Dela’s advocacy underscores the heightened stakes in an industry where consistency and innovation increasingly define an artiste’s legacy.

Kevin Hart To Host 2025 BET Awards

BET is celebrating its 25th anniversary on what many like to call “Culture’s Biggest Night”.
Kevin Hart will return as the host of the BET Awards 2025.
Airing live on BET on the East Coast (and tape-delayed on the West Coast) on Monday, June 9, at 8 p.m. ET/PT, the show will again be held at the Peacock Theatre at L.A. Live in Los Angeles.
It will be Hart’s second time hosting the show. He previously hosted in 2011. And it’s the 25th anniversary of what BET likes to call “Culture’s Biggest Night”.
“I love a celebration!” Hart said in a statement. “I’m truly honoured to host the 25th BET Awards and celebrate the culture’s biggest night. This year marks the 25th anniversary, and my partners at Hartbeat, BET, and JCE are pulling out all the stops to make it a night to remember. It’s a black-tie affair, and you’re all invited. Tune in live on June 9th, only on BET.”
“Kevin Hart is a powerhouse of an entertainer,” said Connie Orlando, EVP, specials, music programming & music strategy at BET.
“His impact spans comedy, film, television, and beyond. As we celebrate 25 years of the BET Awards, we couldn’t think of a more dynamic host to lead this historic night. Kevin’s unmatched charisma, comedic brilliance, and deep-rooted connection to our culture make him the perfect choice to commemorate this milestone event.”
The BET Experience 2025 (BETX) returns June 5–8 in Los Angeles with four days of immersive fan events, leading up to the BET Awards on June 9.
