Porsha Williams’ Ex Simon Guobadia Released From ICE Detention, Deported Back To Nigeria

Porsha Williams’ estranged husband, Simon Guobadia, has been released from ICE custody and deported back to his home country, Nigeria, after spending months at a detention centre, according to Us Weekly.

According to the website, Guobadia’s friend and business partner, Tai Savet, reports that the Nigeria-born businessman was sent on a flight back home a couple of days ago.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security website no longer lists Guobadia as being in their system.

Savet said Guobadia, 61, was in “good spirits” after a tough experience at the detention centre, which was the first time he had ever been behind bars.

Back in February, Williams’ ex was taken to the Stewart Detention Center in Lumpkin, Georgia, about two hours outside of Atlanta, as part of the government’s mass deportation efforts.

Guobadia moved to the United States in 1982 but reportedly overstayed his visa. He left the country but came back and overstayed his visa a second time, according to a local report.

WSB-TV reported Guobadia was deported in 1992 but was granted permanent residency status the same year when he used an “undisclosed identity.”

He attempted to gain citizenship over the years but was shut down each time.

Williams, 43, filed for divorce from Guobadia in February 2024, following 15 months of marriage.

The exes went back and forth for months over Williams’ request for exclusive use of their marital home.

The judge sided with Williams and ordered that she could live in the home until a final decision is reached in the divorce.

The exes are set to face off at a divorce hearing later this week, with Guobadia being allowed to appear via video due to his deportation.

The reality star and her ex are fighting over the prenuptial agreement they signed before they walked down the aisle on November 25, 2022.

The hearing has been postponed several times, partly due to Guobadia’s detention.

After he was taken into custody, Guobadia asked for the hearing to be postponed to allow him time to attend.

His lawyer argued, “The motion to enforce the prenuptial agreement is a substantive motion that requires findings of fact by this court. The outcome of the motion will also have a substantial effect on how the remainder of the divorce case proceeds, as it may be dispositive of some of the issues and result in litigation on others.”

The judge granted Guobadia’s motion and rescheduled the hearing for June 11.

The order instructed ICE agents to transport Guobadia to the hearing if he was not released.

For her part, Williams filed a motion requesting permission to attend the hearing via video.

The RHOA star’s lawyer told the court, “[Williams] is a well-known reality television personality, a career in which last-minute travel and unexpected opportunities frequently arise.”

He continued, “[Williams] shows that this employment opportunity would help [Williams] offset the numerous financial obligations that [Guobadia] has failed to maintain under the Temporary Order, as well as to offset the significant legal expenses [Williams] has already incurred in pursuing enforcement of the parties’ Prenuptial Agreement and defending herself against [Guobadia] as it relates to the instant divorce action.”

“[Williams] shows that her request for virtual appearance is made in good faith and reflects a balancing of her professional obligations and the serious nature of these proceedings, not a desire to delay or further complicate the instant litigation,” the reality star’s attorney argued.

The judge has yet to rule.

DeEye: Ghana’s All-Seeing Voice Leading The Next Wave Of Afrobeats

In the ever-evolving soundscape of Afrobeats, DeEye is emerging as one of its most soulful and visionary new voices. Hailing from the vibrant and often misunderstood streets of Tema Community 1, DeEye channels lived experience, spiritual depth, and raw musicality into every note.

“DeEye means All-Seeing Wisdom — a name given to me by God through the whispering of the Holy Spirit,” the artist shares. “I don’t just sing. I reveal, I reflect, I awaken.”

Born Sadat, DeEye describes his sound as a fusion of Afrobeat, soul, and conscious storytelling — music that speaks to the heart and mind. Influenced by legends like Fela Kuti, Bob Marley, and Kendrick Lamar, he uses rhythm and lyricism to explore identity, struggle, spirituality, and joy.

“My songwriting begins with a feeling — sometimes a beat, sometimes silence. I don’t chase hits. I chase honesty,” he explains. “I write like I’m speaking directly to someone who needs to hear the truth.”

Growing up in Tema, a place known both for its challenges and cultural richness, heavily shaped DeEye’s artistic path. “That environment made me,” he says. “It showed me both the dark and the divine. I reflect both in my art.”

DeEye’s music is intentionally Afrocentric yet globally resonant. He blends traditional rhythms, languages, and proverbs with modern sonic elements — not as a gimmick, but as a cultural mission.

“African culture is the heartbeat of my sound,” he says. “I’m not here to copy trends — I’m here to build legacies. I want the world to see our truth and feel our soul.”

With each release, he invites listeners on a journey — whether it’s through themes of love, survival, spiritual awakening, or personal growth.

His latest project, still under wraps, is described as “a mirror of quiet battles and bold beauty,” drawing from real-life conversations and internal reflections. “It’s not just music,” he says, “it’s medicine.”

Offstage, DeEye is introspective and grounded. “Most people don’t know I’m actually quiet. I observe more than I speak. Music is where I shout,” he laughs. A lover of storytelling, he also dreams of exploring filmmaking one day.

His perfect studio vibe? “Low lights, incense, real people, no pressure — just pure energy. That’s when the magic happens.”

Looking ahead, DeEye envisions international collaborations with purpose-driven artists like Burna Boy or Kendrick Lamar, and dreams of performing on stages from Accra to New York.

“In five years, I see myself as a global voice that still feels local. Rooted, but reaching.”

When people listen to DeEye’ music, he wants them to feel seen, heard, and healed.

“If someone tells me a song helped them feel understood or gave them strength, that means more to me than numbers. My music is a mirror — for the soul, for the culture, for the journey.”

With his blend of authenticity, spirituality, and sonic finesse, DeEye isn’t just riding the Afrobeats wave — he’s helping shape its future.

Hajia 4Reall To Be Released On May 22 Pending 3 Years Supervised Release

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, incarcerated Ghanaian “influencer” and socialite Mona Faiz Montrage, also known as Hajia 4Reall, will be released from the FDC Philadelphia facility in the USA on Thursday, May 22, 2025.

A search on the facility’s website confirmed she is due for release.

Upon her release, Hajia 4Reall will go into removal proceedings with immigration, followed by a self-deportation.

In November 2024, Hon. J. Paul Oetken, a US District Court Judge, granted a request by Fast Law, lawyers of the Ghanaian socialite, to help facilitate her self-deportation proceedings to Ghana upon completion of her sentence.

Hajia 4Reall was sentenced to 12 months and one day in prison for receiving romance scam proceeds. Montrage previously pleaded guilty on February 21, 2024, to conspiracy to receive stolen money.

Although she is due for release, she will also face three years of supervised release while in Ghana.

A supervised release is a period of restricted freedom for prisoners who have recently been released from federal custody.

During her sentencing, U.S. Attorney Damian Williams said, “Mona Faiz Montrage knowingly received illegal funds from older Americans who were victims of romance scams and now faces serious consequences for her actions.

Romance scams such as Montrage’s harm vulnerable, elderly victims not only in the cruel betrayal of trust in the realization that their online romantic connection was fiction but also by callously stealing their money. This office and our law enforcement partners are relentless in bringing fraudsters who target Americans to justice, no matter where they are.”

A Ghanaian public figure, Hajia 4Real, rose to fame as an influencer through her Instagram profile under the username “Hajia4Real,” which at one point had approximately 3.4 million Instagram followers and was among the top 10 most followed profiles in Ghana.
