Ghanaians Express Huge Disappointment In VGMA Over Dj Azonto Not Performing

Mark Kwesi Arthur popularly known as DJ Azonto, has been a very controversial fixture in this year’s VGMA and his absence from the performance list has left many fans wondering why he was not invited to perform.

Netizens have taken to social media to express their disappointment and frustration with the belief that he has the most popular song in Ghana currently, and that for some reasons, they believe his absence from the performance list could be contributed to external factors outside music showbiz

Others also suggested that DJ Azonto may have been left off the performance list due to politics or personal differences between himself and the VGMA organizers after coming at them for not nominating “Fa No Fom” under Most Popular Song Of The Year category.

Some fans also argue that his absence might be from the fact that his “feminin brand” and allegations of being gay would raise unnecessary questions to the board

However, in a recent interview, DJ Azonto stated his disappointment for not performing at this year’s VGMA, but that he remained focused on his music, fans and putting in works to win an award that night.
