Mr Eazi Announces Global Art Exhibitions As Part Of Forthcoming Album
Nigerian singer and Banku music pioneer Mr Eazi announced that he would be collaborating with 13 artists across Africa to pair bespoke work with each track off his first studio album. Slated to release later this year, the musician has revealed that he will also showcase each artwork as part of new group exhibitions that will take place in Lagos, Accra, New York and London.
Launching ahead of his album release on 27 October, the special art and music experiences will see Mr Eazi’s fans, as well as art and music enthusiasts, experience every song on the album alongside the one-of-a-kind artwork created in response to the music.
Debuting at Gallery 1957 in Accra, Ghana, a significant country for Mr Eazi where he began his recording career and rose to fame, the exhibition listening experience will launch during Accra’s annual Cultural Week from 13 – 18 September.
The London portion of exhibition will take place at the forthcoming 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair at Somerset House from October 12 to 15.
In anticipation of the full album and exhibition experience, a further five artworks have been unveiled which were created for the tracks Advice by Alpha ODH, Notorious byEdozie Anedu, Fefe Ne Fefe by Samuel Tete-Katchan, Legalize by Patricorel, and Mandela by Tesprit.
