Naa Ashorkor Joins Media General

Radio personality and actress Naa Ashorkor has joined Media General.

The news was confirmed by the media outfit on Friday, August 4, 2023.

It is immediately unknown what role the presenter will take in the media outfit.

In a post, the actress wrote;

“I have news!

I’m thrilled to share that I’ve joined Media General! Can’t wait to embark on this new adventure together with all of you.

So help me God.”

On Tuesday, August 1, 2023, Naa Ashorkor announced her exit from Asaase Radio where she worked for 3 years.

In her goodbye message, Naa Ashorkor wrote on social media;

“Today I say goodbye to my family at Asaase Radio.

It’s been three beautiful years serving you on 99.5.

My deepest appreciation to you all. Excited about what the future holds.”

Naa Ashorkor joined Asaase Radio in 2020 as host of the afternoon show, “Between Hours”, on June 29.

Apart from hosting Between Hours, she was also the presenter for ‘Just Us’, an all-girls talk show every Wednesday.

Naa Ashorkor’s journey in media can best be described as interesting after starting off as a “Vox Pop” co-ordinator for TV Africa whilst still a student at the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ).

Gradually, she got acquainted with the crew who invited her as a guest on the New Generation show until she gradually became the host when the regular presenter got sick.

Ashorkor later started hosting the television programme Tales from The Powder Room on GHOne TV.

She also worked at Starr FM before joining Multimedia.

At Multimedia, she was the host of Showbiz A-Z until she announced that her employers had terminated her contract on Wednesday, May 6, 2020.
