Burna Boy, a Nigerian music artist and African Giant, will perform at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards. The first group of performers for the highly anticipated music awards presentation has been announced, and they include Megan Thee Stallion, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Latto, Burna Boy, and Rauw Alejandro. This will be Burna Boy’s first ever performance. He won’t be alone, as Meg and Latto will also perform at the show, where they’re finalists for top female rap artist with Cardi B. Mary J. Blige will receive this year’s Icon Award during the ceremony, following in the footsteps of P!nk, Garth Brooks, Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson, Cher, Celine Dion, and others. The host of the 2022 Billboard Music Awards, as well as the recipient of this year’s Change Maker Award, are yet to be announced. The 2022 Billboard Music Awards will show live on NBC on Sunday, May 15, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
