Afrikaba Ronnie Urges Musicians To Support New MUSIGA Executives For Effective Functioning
In a recent discussion on Obrempon 91.7 FM’s showbiz talk show, renowned pundit and artiste manager Afrikaba Ronnie, born Ronnie Ato Paintsil, emphasized the importance of positive support from musicians for the newly elected executives of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA). He urged fellow musicians to stop tarnishing the image of the union, as it hampers the organization’s ability to attract affiliations from businesses and other organizations.
Afrikaba Ronnie highlighted that no organization or business wants to be associated with a group that its own members do not regard positively. He stressed the need for musicians to rally behind the new MUSIGA executives and provide them with the necessary support to carry out their duties effectively.
Furthermore, Afrikaba Ronnie pleaded with the leaders of MUSIGA to accept constructive criticism and foster unity among the members. He acknowledged that elections are now over, and it is crucial for the elected executives to work together and prioritize the interests of the union and its members.
Expressing his trust in the newly elected national executives, Afrikaba Ronnie commended their dedication and commitment to the music industry. The national executives include Bessa Simons as President, Reverend Thomas Yawson as 1st Vice President, Abena Ruthy as 2nd Vice President, S. K. Agyemang as General Secretary, Reverend Edusa Eyison as National Treasurer, Reverend Gifty Ghansah as National Welfare Officer, and Chizzy Wailer as National Organizer.
He emphasized that the success of MUSIGA lies in the collective effort of its members and the support they provide to the elected executives. By working together and fostering a positive image of the union, MUSIGA can attract more affiliations and partnerships, ultimately benefiting all musicians in Ghana.
Afrikaba Ronnie’s call for unity and support for the new MUSIGA executives serves as a reminder to musicians of their collective responsibility in shaping the future of the music industry in Ghana. With constructive criticism and positive support, the union can thrive and effectively represent the interests of its members.
As the music industry continues to evolve, it is crucial for musicians to come together, support their leaders, and work towards a common goal of promoting and advancing the Ghanaian music scene.
