Leftizzle Releases Debute Ep ‘Music Boy’

Rising Ghanaian Afrobeats artist Leftizzle is proud to announce the release of his highly anticipated debut EP. Leftizzle became popular off the back of his viral song “Kiki”, the extremely popular collaboration with Fuse ODG, that got people debating online while also creating viral dane videos!

 

Drawing inspiration from personal experiences and his own beloved Ghanaian culture, this project invites listeners to enjoy the smooth and sensual sound of Leftizzle’s vocals mixed in with some satisfying instrumentation. With a blend of Ghanaian and international sounds, Leftizzle creates  a unique musical  atmosphere that resonates with authenticity and passion.

 

The EP’s standout track, “Girl Next Door,” was inspired by a memorable night out. “I went to the club one Friday with my team, and there was this girl on the dance floor, capturing everyone’s attention with her moves,” Leftizzle recalls. “When I received the instrumental days later, I couldn’t help but think of her. That memory shaped the song.”

 

Each track on the EP has a different emotional  tone,  with  Leftizzle  carefully selecting instruments to bring out warmth and intimacy. His goal is for listeners to feel a range of emotions as they journey through the seven tracks, from joy to introspection.

 

Musical Influences and Cultural Roots Leftizzle’s     sound is a rich  fusion of influences, from Ghanaian highlife and hiplife legends like E.T. Mensah and Kojo Antwi, to international Afrobeats icons like Fela Kuti and Burna Boy. His music tells stories, much like the artists who have shaped   his sound,  blending traditional Ghanaian rhythms with modern production. “Their ability to tell stories through music inspired me to infuse cultural elements into my work,” he explains.

 

Throughout the EP, Leftizzle pays homage to his Ghanaian heritage. He incorporates traditional rhythms  and instruments, blending them with highlife and Afrobeats. The use of local languages like Twi adds depth to the emotional resonance of his songs, allowing him to reach his audience on a more intimate level.

 

Following the release of this debut EP, Leftizzle has a lineup of exciting projects on the horizon. Anthony Essien, known in the music scene as Tee Tonie, was born in New Takoradi and moved to Elmina at the age of eight. Growing up in the vibrant coastal town, he developed a love for music during his primary and secondary school years at Cape Coast Academy. It was during this time that Tee Tonie began exploring his passion for dance and rap, honing his skills through freestyle performances.
At 17, by God’s grace, Tee Tonie moved to Europe, where his dedication to music deepened. He joined a group called Release Makes a Team (RMT), which featured a dynamic mix of both male and female artists. The group produced several tracks and performed at shows in Brussels, Belgium, where they shared the stage with renowned artists like Obrafour and Tictak.
