Heartman Hospitalized For Months Due To An Unknown Illness

According to photo circulating on social media, Ghanaian rising music artiste, Heartman, has been hospitalized for several months with an unknown illness.
In recent months, the musician has been inactive on his social media pages. Throughout the holiday season, fans wondered why the artiste
wasn’t booked for any of the shows; some even went so far as to call his management to find out what was going on.
There were also rumors that the ‘clearing Agent’ singer had parted ways with his label Beljam record.
However, the true reason for his absence from social media and the music scene has finally been revealed. He’s been diagnosed with an unknown illness. Some speculate that it is related to Covid-19.  Others believe otherwise, but we are awaiting press release or other form of response from his manager or label to confirm this.

“Any Woman Who Calls Her Fellow Woman Barren Is A Witch” – Shatana Laments

Versatile Afrobeat cum Dancehall songstress, Shatana has made some damning remarks against women who call their fellow women barren.

It is not very long when actress, Afia Schwarzenegger called TV/Radio personality out for being supposedly ‘barren’ during the heat of a banter they have had some years ago. Afia received heavy trashing and backlashing from most people on social media for such atrocious comment against her former boss and a fellow woman at that.

Amongst them is female musician, Shatana who has called this act atrocious. She voiced that there sometimes may be a divine reason why someone may be barren. ” Even in the bible, that is, Genesis Chapter 29, God closed the womb of Rachel for a purpose”, she quoted.

She opined that being barren is not a sin but sleeping with a dog and sex working is. She furthered by saying that any woman who calls her fellow woman barren is a witch.

It is a common rumour on the internet that Afia Schwarzenegger is a petty sex worker and she even sleeps with dogs. Afia Schwarzenegger is yet to react to Shatana’s nudge.

Watch a video of what Shatana said.

Pastor Wisdom Arthur-Paulus Readies ‘Ebe Ye Yie’

Pastor Wisdom Arthur-Paulus, a rising recording artist from Ghana, is expected to take over the airwaves with his latest single,

“Ebe Ye Yie” (It shall be well).

As a young pastor, he feels that using music to evangelize to people goes beyond one’s vocal prowess; rather, it involves having a heartfelt desire to serve God, which he expresses via his music.

The new single, “Ebe Ye Yie” (It Shall Be Well), is slated for release on July 11, 2022, with the primary goal that it makes a larger impact on the lives of many and everyone who hears it since it is meant to inspire and give hope to those who have lost their way in their endeavors.

Pastor Wisdom Arthur -Paulus vividly recalls when people use to ridicule and discourage him due to his voice, but having passion for singing; He had a vision one day where a platform was mantle for him to minister a song and ever since the songs keep occurring onto him and that has been his greatest break through then.

Ghanaian Gospel musician and music producer, Derriom Kari – CEO of DIVmuzic is responsible for the composition and

production of the song.

Keep an eye on this space since it’s unquestionably a masterpiece.

R2Bees And Sarkodie Collaborate In New York City For The It’s About Time Concert

It’s a Ghanaian link up. Highlife and hiplife duo R2Bees and rapper Sarkodie have teamed up for the It’s About Time Concert at Times Square, New York’s The Palladium on Saturday, July 30.

Sharing the news on Twitter, Sarkodie wrote “one Night R2BEES x SARK under one roof !!! New York City…The states about to get served.”

Sarkodie is known for his singles “I’m In Luv With You,” “U Go Kill Me,” “No Kissing Baby” with Patoranking,” and “Rollies and Cigars,” just to name a few. The rapper was the first ever winner of the “Best International Flow” award at the 2019 BET Hip Hop Awards.

Some of R2Bees’ hit singles include “Kiss Your Hand,” “Tonight” featuring Wizkid, “Over,” and “Eboso.” The group was nominated for “Best International Act: Africa” at the 2013 BET Awards but lost to fellow Afrobeats artist Wizkid.

R2Bees and Sarkodie have collaborated on some timeless hits such as “Baby,” “Yawa,” and “Bayla,” among several others. Both acts have been friends for over a decade and have been a heavy influence on the rise of Afrobeats and Ghanaian music culture. The It’s About Time Concert was reportedly in the works for a very long time.

In a promo video posted on social media, the three artists, Mugees and Paedae of R2Bees and Sarkodie linked up in Tema, the city in Ghana which nurtured and birthed out their talents. “‘It’s about time’ we mount some major concert outside Ghana, I’m thinking New York,” Sarkodie said to the duo in the video.

Khaby Lame Has surpassed Charli D’Amelio As Most Followed Person On TikTok

Khabane “Khaby” Lame (Italy) now has the most followers on TikTok, with 142.8 million at the time of writing.

The 22-year-old silent comedian surpassed Charli D’Amelio (USA), who has held the record since March 2020.

Khaby’s parodies of so-called ‘lifehacks’ have racked up millions of views and propelled him to worldwide fame.

After losing his job as a factory worker at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Khaby was forced to move back into his parent’s home in Turin, Italy.

With national lockdowns in place, Khaby created his TikTok account as a way to cure the boredom of being stuck indoors.

His first videos featured himself dancing, watching video games and using the app’s various filters, though he didn’t receive many views.

That all changed in November 2020 when one of Khaby’s videos went viral.

In response to another user’s needlessly complicated lifehack video, Khaby silently demonstrated a simpler solution to the problem. With his now-iconic hand gestures and stare of disapproval, Khaby had found a winning formula.

Khaby’s follower count began to rapidly increase and by April 2021 he had overtaken Gianluca Vacchi as the most-followed Italian on TikTok.

By July 2021, Khaby was the second-most followed user and held the record of most followers on TikTok (male) after surpassing Zach King.

Khaby continued to gain momentum, amassing followers at an average rate of three million per month, compared to Charli D’Amelio’s one million.

After creating his account in the same month that D’Amelio achieved the most followers, Khaby has now risen to the top of TikTok in just over two years.

Charli D’Amelio still holds the record of most followers on TikTok (female). She also holds Guinness World Records titles for being the first person to reach 50 million followers on TikTok and the first person to reach 100 million followers on TikTok.

According to Khaby, his huge popularity is due to his physical comedy transcending language barriers.

@khaby.lame #🇮🇹Perfavore non fare questo con la Pizza😭😭 #🇺🇸Please don’t do that with Pizza 😭😭 #LearnFromKhabi #LearnWithTikTok #ImparaConTikTok #pizza ♬ suono originale – Khabane lame

“I speak a universal language that everyone understands,” he told Forbes.

Khaby has continued to go from success to success after signing a partnership with Hugo Boss and collaborating with his hometown soccer club Juventus F.C. last year. He has also fulfilled some of his childhood dreams after meeting Lionel Messi and making videos with Zlatan Ibrahimović and Usain Bolt.

Will anyone be able to dethrone Khaby Lame as the king of TikTok?

Stormzy Receives Honorary Degree From University Of Exeter

Stormzy, the platinum – selling grime artist, was conferred an honorary doctorate by the prestigious University of Exeter in appreciation of “his extraordinary contributions

in the fields of higher education, philanthropy, and wider participation.”

According to the University, the honour was in recognition of the rapper’s outstanding contribution to society.

Obviously, his music career took off in a major way since then and he’s also made the Cambridge University dream a reality for other students with his scholarship fund.

Stormzy also set up the #Merky Foundation in 2020 and has gone on to pledge millions to tackle racial inequality, justice reform and Black empowerment in the UK.

Last year, the foundation partnered with HSBC UK to ensure a further 30 ‘Stormzy Scholars’ are funded over the next three years covering tuition fees and maintenance costs.

Speaking at the ceremony, Stormzy addressed the room and said: “I feel truly blessed and grateful to be up here receiving this honorary degree. I’d like to say a big thank you to University of Exeter and you guys as well for allowing me to share this moment with you.

“The journey I took to get to this moment has been considerably different to yours. You guys have the guts and the grit and the dedication that it takes to study for years and to finish your degree, whereas I got my AS results in my first year of college and said, ‘Yeah, see you later.’ I didn’t have the same minerals that you guys have. A year later, I took another swing at my A-levels at a different college—until I sat down for my English exam in January and walked out after 10 minutes.”
