The Spoken Word Poem By Lincoln X For The Celebration Of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah On Sixth Of March, 2026
The Man (Kwame Nkrumah)” is a spoken-word poetry piece by Ghanaian Artist and Poet Osman Abraham Lincoln, also known as Lincoln X (Kwaku Aman-ahu), released in 2021 on his introductory album Dantaban (The Circle Within Circles). The poem pays tribute to Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana’s first president, highlighting his role as a Pan-African visionary and a “Man of the Spheres”.
Key Aspects of the Work
Theme: The poem honors Nkrumah as a legendary, transformative figure who “broke the chain of colonialism” and championed the total liberation and unification of Africa. The poem also revealed Nkrumah’s intellectual prowess (“monk in monastery”), oratorical skills, and his enduring influence on Pan-Africanism.
It serves as a tribute to Nkrumah’s commitment to the unity of the African continent.
The piece unveils Nkrumah true identity as a figure whose historical significance cannot be diminished, calling him “the MAN beyond century”.
Imagery: It portrays Nkrumah as a figure of mystery, addressing his legacy, the “mellifluous voice” from his time in Conakry, and his dedication to the African diaspora.
Lincoln X, a performer of poetry, literature, and music, uses this piece to reflect on the enduring, prophetic nature of Nkrumah’s ideas despite his overthrow.
Release: The track was released on September 13, 2021.
The piece is often celebrated alongside Nkrumah’s famous quote: “I am not an African because I was born in Africa but I am an African because Africa was born in me”. Here are the links to listen and watch:

THE MAN (KWAME NKRUMAH)
Verse 1
The MAN of the Spheres, lives in mystery
His shadow is here, stirring the waters in victory
The spear that penetrates every territory
The lions fell into a spell by His oratory
The feet adorned with destiny and fate of poetry
The brain that stirs the minds as monk in monastery
On the mission for history—
His Throne was buried in the strangers’ cemetery
The people’s ears are deaf and dumb in misery
They could not hear the mellifluous voice from Conakry
Ages appears and disappears in circles of geometry
The same hands hails Him the MAN beyond century.
Verse 2
The cockroaches fears the mere crumbs of His illumination
Which outshines on their filthy faces with imagination
This is the night-seer, in frozen ice;
Counted all the countless stars in the skies
What hand can bloat the MAN from the golden scroll?
Even His breeze makes Clio to roll
Blockheads are scared by the scarecrow
Neophytes can write their diatribes on the snow,
But the dry land cannot stop the baobab tree to grow
Deities worshipping at the feet of the hero
He made the clouds wept and all the gods became tyro.
Verse 3
His manhood gave birth to the reincarnated Ancient Kingdom
That made the other Man prophesied in the tomb:
“The Birth of a New Nation,” thus spoken the wisdom
The age of the times crumbles the bomb
The hour reveal the coming event from the womb
These are nights to keep vigil as owl at watch
But not to sleep on the couch
The visionaries living now, fan the torch;
The blazing torch He left for us to watch
They could not hear the mellifluous voice from Conakry.

Legal Battle Erupts Over Burna Boy’s Multi-Million Dollar Catalogue
A major legal dispute has erupted over the ownership of Burna Boy’s early music catalogue, setting his former label against his current management.
The conflict centers on a mid-2024 deal in which Aristokrat Records, the label that launched his career, allegedly sold his early masters and intellectual property to his current imprint, Spaceship Music, run by Burna Boy and his mother.
However, 960 Music Group, which owns a 40% stake in Aristokrat Records, claims the sale was illegal and done without its consent. The company has filed lawsuits in federal high courts in Lagos and Port Harcourt seeking to overturn the transaction, arguing that Aristokrat could not sell assets it did not fully own.
The dispute has escalated beyond civil court, with criminal charges reportedly filed against Aristokrat founder Piriye Isokrari following allegations of financial misconduct.
The case now threatens to reshape control of Burna Boy’s early hits and highlights the high stakes surrounding music ownership in the industry.

Bullgod Champions Joseph Matthew’s “Love In You” For 2026 TGMA Reggae Song Of The Year
In a bold endorsement that’s sending ripples through Ghana’s music scene, veteran entertainment pundit and artiste manager Lawrence Asiamah Hanson popularly known as Bullgod has thrown his full weight behind Joseph Matthew’s reggae-infused single “Love In You” as a must-nominate contender for the “Reggae Song of the Year”category at the 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).
Speaking in an exclusive interview on Accra’s Hot 93.9 FM during the mid-morning show “Aye Hu”, Bullgod didn’t mince words:
“The song is very great… It is beautiful and world-class. Joseph Matthew’s ‘Love In You’ deserves a nomination at the 2026 TGMA, it’s non-negotiable.”
Known primarily for his innovative ‘Afro-Gospel’ sound that fuses faith-driven lyrics with contemporary Afrobeat grooves, Joseph Matthew took a daring stylistic detour with “Love In You.” The track dives deep into authentic reggae rhythms, delivering crisp production, impeccable mixing, and mastering that effortlessly bridges the Ghanaian local scene with the global diaspora.
Bullgod praised the song’s universal appeal: while Joseph remains rooted in inspirational, faith-based messaging, “Love In You” carries a timeless, heartfelt theme of compassion, devotion, and human connection. One that resonates far beyond religious boundaries and across all demographics.
The Reggae/Dancehall category at the TGMA has long been dominated by heavyweights like Stonebwoy (a multi-year champion and global ambassador for Ghanaian dancehall), Jupitar, and Shatta Wale; artistes with massive fanbases, strong streaming numbers, and public voting power.
When pressed on whether Joseph Matthew could realistically break that streak and claim the win, Bullgod remained optimistic yet pragmatic:
“If there is no public voting, I’m sure Matthew can win. But because Stonebwoy, Jupitar, and Shatta Wale have the numbers, he may not win. However, the song certainly deserves a nomination.”
Bullgod’s vote of confidence underscores a growing sentiment in industry circles. “Love In You” isn’t just another gospel track, it is a genre-crossing masterpiece that elevates Ghanaian reggae production to international standards.
Joseph Matthew’s journey from UK-based Afro-Gospel head to versatile genre explorer has already inspired a new wave of artistes pushing boundaries in Ghanaian Christian and inspirational music. A TGMA nomination in the competitive Reggae category would be a landmark moment, validating his bold experimentation and proving that faith-based music can thrive in secular spaces.
As the 2026 TGMA nomination window approaches (typically opening early in the year ahead of the May/June ceremony), Bullgod’s high-profile endorsement adds serious momentum to Joseph Matthew’s campaign.
Fans and industry watchers are now watching closely: Will “Love In You” make the official shortlist? If so, can its quality and artistry overcome the fan-vote giants?

Medikal’s “Beyond Kontrol” Concert At Accra Sports Stadium Earns IRAWMA Nomination
Multiple-award-winning Ghanaian rapper Medikal has secured an international nomination, as his headline concert, “Beyond Kontrol,” gets nominated in the Concert of the Year category at the 43rd edition of the International Reggae and World Music Awards, popularly known as
IRAWMA.
Founded in 1982, IRAWMA is one of the longest-running award schemes dedicated to celebrating reggae and world music talents across the globe. Over the years, the platform has recognized influential artists from the Caribbean, Africa, Europe, and North America, positioning
itself as a respected international institution within the global music community. A nomination from the scheme signals cross-border impact and cultural relevance beyond an artist’s home market.
Medikal’s nomination comes on the back of his “Beyond Kontrol” concert, which was staged at the Accra Sports Stadium. Hosting a full-scale concert at one of Ghana’s largest venues marked a significant moment in his live performance career. The show was characterized by high
production value, strong stage design, energetic delivery, and a setlist packed with fan favorites. The Concert of the Year category typically recognizes not only attendance numbers but overall execution, audience engagement, and cultural impact. Industry observers say the nomination reflects the scale and ambition behind the Accra Sports Stadium event.
Beyond the concert, Medikal’s strong positioning this year has also been fueled by the success of his hit single “Shoulder,” widely regarded as the biggest song of 2025. The track dominated airwaves, streaming platforms, and social conversations, reinforcing his commercial strength
and relevance within Ghana’s music landscape. Although he has not yet secured multiple awards this year, there is growing anticipation that he will attract more nominations and potentially convert them into wins as award season unfolds.
The combination of a globally recognized nomination and a record-breaking single has strengthened expectations around his prospects.
For Medikal, the IRAWMA recognition is both a personal achievement and a broader spotlight on Ghanaian hip hop’s expanding international reach.

Ghanaian Artiste RKB Opens Up About Painful Discovery: Child He Raised for 11 Years Not Biologically His
Ghanaian musician RKB, one half of the rising music duo GH Family has shared a deeply personal and heartbreaking chapter of his life that left him emotionally shaken.
In an exclusive and emotional interview with the GHVIBE Media team, RKB revealed that a DNA paternity test has confirmed he is not the biological father of the boy he has lovingly raised, supported, and considered his son for over eleven years.

RKB recounted that he first met Faustina Ohene from Dodowa on 31 December 2012 at Trinity Baptist Church. He explained that he got into a relationship with Faustina a year after they met. Faustina then claimed she had cancelled her marriage which was almost due but could not materialize because of age difference.
“Within a few weeks she told me she was pregnant and that the child was mine,” he explained. “From the very beginning I had a gut feeling something wasn’t right because she had thrown herself at me so quickly but I had no proof. I even told the family that the child wasn’t mine because he didn’t look like me but they always gave me an excuse after the other. I couldn’t accuse her without evidence, so I chose to take responsibility.”
RKB fully embraced fatherhood. He supported Faustina throughout the pregnancy, provided financially, and remained actively involved in the child’s life for more than a decade, covering school fees, medical needs, clothing, and every aspect of upbringing a committed father would.
Years later, Faustina reportedly began pressuring RKB, a UK resident, to bring the boy to live with him in Britain. According to RKB, she threatened to abandon the child if he did not step in, claiming the responsibility was hindering her personal growth and progress.
With no other viable option and wanting the best for the boy, RKB arranged for him to relocate to the UK.
As part of the standard UK immigration and family reunification process, a legal paternity test is required to confirm the parent-child relationship before proceeding further.
Unsure and still carrying that quiet doubt from years earlier, RKB quietly arranged a private DNA test through BluePrint DNA Organization without informing Faustina at the time. The result was devastating. He was not the biological father of the boy.
When asked about his next steps, RKB spoke with remarkable calm and maturity.
“I’ve decided to return the boy to his mother,” he said. “I hold no bitterness. I won’t demand any money back. I’ve left the entire situation in God’s hands.”
He added that, despite the emotional weight of the revelation, he currently feels mentally and emotionally stable.
“I’m in a good place right now. I don’t feel the need for psychological support, at least not at this moment. My focus is shifting back to my music and the work I still have to do.”
Through the hurt, RKB is channeling his energy into creativity. He and his GH Family partner are encouraging fans to stay connected through their music.
The duo recently released their vibrant debut single “Do Your Dance” a joyful, Swahili-infused Afrobeat track that celebrates movement, freedom, and African spirit.
