Rihanna Joins Forbes List Of Billionaires And Becomes Barbados’ First Billionaire
Rihanna, a Barbadian pop and Rhythm-And-Blues (R&B) artist, has just made her Forbes Billionaires list 2022 debut.
According to Forbes’ 2022 World’s Billionaires list, there are 87 fewer billionaires this year. However, while countries such as Russia, where the invasion of Ukraine and following sanctions have caused markets to crash, and China,
which has cracked down on digital businesses, are losing billionaires, others are gaining them.
This contains four countries that have recently received their first billionaires: Barbados, Bulgaria, Estonia, and Uruguay.
The most high-profile newcomer is musician-turned – cosmetics entrepreneur Rihanna, who became the Caribbean island nation of Barbados’ first billionaire in August. She was also named the country’s
11th “National Hero” during a ceremony in Bridgetown in November, the same day Barbados became a republic.
