Pastor Wisdom Arthur-Paulus Readies ‘Ebe Ye Yie’

Pastor Wisdom Arthur-Paulus, a rising recording artist from Ghana, is expected to take over the airwaves with his latest single,

“Ebe Ye Yie” (It shall be well).

As a young pastor, he feels that using music to evangelize to people goes beyond one’s vocal prowess; rather, it involves having a heartfelt desire to serve God, which he expresses via his music.

The new single, “Ebe Ye Yie” (It Shall Be Well), is slated for release on July 11, 2022, with the primary goal that it makes a larger impact on the lives of many and everyone who hears it since it is meant to inspire and give hope to those who have lost their way in their endeavors.

Pastor Wisdom Arthur -Paulus vividly recalls when people use to ridicule and discourage him due to his voice, but having passion for singing; He had a vision one day where a platform was mantle for him to minister a song and ever since the songs keep occurring onto him and that has been his greatest break through then.

Ghanaian Gospel musician and music producer, Derriom Kari – CEO of DIVmuzic is responsible for the composition and

production of the song.

Keep an eye on this space since it’s unquestionably a masterpiece.

Khaby Lame Has surpassed Charli D’Amelio As Most Followed Person On TikTok

Khabane “Khaby” Lame (Italy) now has the most followers on TikTok, with 142.8 million at the time of writing.

The 22-year-old silent comedian surpassed Charli D’Amelio (USA), who has held the record since March 2020.

Khaby’s parodies of so-called ‘lifehacks’ have racked up millions of views and propelled him to worldwide fame.

After losing his job as a factory worker at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Khaby was forced to move back into his parent’s home in Turin, Italy.

With national lockdowns in place, Khaby created his TikTok account as a way to cure the boredom of being stuck indoors.

His first videos featured himself dancing, watching video games and using the app’s various filters, though he didn’t receive many views.

That all changed in November 2020 when one of Khaby’s videos went viral.

In response to another user’s needlessly complicated lifehack video, Khaby silently demonstrated a simpler solution to the problem. With his now-iconic hand gestures and stare of disapproval, Khaby had found a winning formula.

Khaby’s follower count began to rapidly increase and by April 2021 he had overtaken Gianluca Vacchi as the most-followed Italian on TikTok.

By July 2021, Khaby was the second-most followed user and held the record of most followers on TikTok (male) after surpassing Zach King.

Khaby continued to gain momentum, amassing followers at an average rate of three million per month, compared to Charli D’Amelio’s one million.

After creating his account in the same month that D’Amelio achieved the most followers, Khaby has now risen to the top of TikTok in just over two years.

Charli D’Amelio still holds the record of most followers on TikTok (female). She also holds Guinness World Records titles for being the first person to reach 50 million followers on TikTok and the first person to reach 100 million followers on TikTok.

According to Khaby, his huge popularity is due to his physical comedy transcending language barriers.

@khaby.lame #🇮🇹Perfavore non fare questo con la Pizza😭😭 #🇺🇸Please don’t do that with Pizza 😭😭 #LearnFromKhabi #LearnWithTikTok #ImparaConTikTok #pizza ♬ suono originale – Khabane lame

“I speak a universal language that everyone understands,” he told Forbes.

Khaby has continued to go from success to success after signing a partnership with Hugo Boss and collaborating with his hometown soccer club Juventus F.C. last year. He has also fulfilled some of his childhood dreams after meeting Lionel Messi and making videos with Zlatan Ibrahimović and Usain Bolt.

Will anyone be able to dethrone Khaby Lame as the king of TikTok?

Stormzy Receives Honorary Degree From University Of Exeter

Stormzy, the platinum – selling grime artist, was conferred an honorary doctorate by the prestigious University of Exeter in appreciation of “his extraordinary contributions

in the fields of higher education, philanthropy, and wider participation.”

According to the University, the honour was in recognition of the rapper’s outstanding contribution to society.

Obviously, his music career took off in a major way since then and he’s also made the Cambridge University dream a reality for other students with his scholarship fund.

Stormzy also set up the #Merky Foundation in 2020 and has gone on to pledge millions to tackle racial inequality, justice reform and Black empowerment in the UK.

Last year, the foundation partnered with HSBC UK to ensure a further 30 ‘Stormzy Scholars’ are funded over the next three years covering tuition fees and maintenance costs.

Speaking at the ceremony, Stormzy addressed the room and said: “I feel truly blessed and grateful to be up here receiving this honorary degree. I’d like to say a big thank you to University of Exeter and you guys as well for allowing me to share this moment with you.

“The journey I took to get to this moment has been considerably different to yours. You guys have the guts and the grit and the dedication that it takes to study for years and to finish your degree, whereas I got my AS results in my first year of college and said, ‘Yeah, see you later.’ I didn’t have the same minerals that you guys have. A year later, I took another swing at my A-levels at a different college—until I sat down for my English exam in January and walked out after 10 minutes.”

Black Sherif joins Boomplay’s Golden Club with 100 million streams

Ghanaian rising star, Black Sherif, has hit 100M streams on Africa’s most expansive music streaming and download platform, Boomplay.

The ‘Kwaku the Traveller’ hitmaker becomes the first Ghanaian artist to reach the 100 million streams milestone on Boomplay after having had a phenomenal run since last year.

With this feat, Black Sherif joins Boomplay’s Golden Club, a list of artists who have clocked and surpassed the 100M streams milestone, including Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, Diamond Platinumz, Fireboy DML, Joeboy, Omah Lay and Rayvanny.

“Reaching 100 million streams on Boomplay in such a short time and being the first Ghanaian artist to achieve this feat is a big deal to me. As a young kid from Konongo, who only had a dream and a voice, this brings me to the realisation that I can achieve any and everything so long as I believe and dare myself to take action.  Big love to the Boomplay team for putting me on from day one till now,” Black Sherif shared.

Born Mohammed Ismail Shariff, the 20-year-old talented artist released “Money”, “Cry For Me”, and “Destiny” in 2020, which gained him some traction online. Later, he dropped “Money (remix)”, “Adea Kye”, and “Ankonam” and garnered huge buzz on Boomplay across several countries.

When Black Sherif’s “First Sermon” and “Second Sermon” were released in 2021, they went viral and brought him to the mainstream limelight. A remix of his “Second Sermon” featuring Burna Boy gave him further reach across Africa and beyond.

Consequently, during Boomplay’s Recap 2021, which highlights stats and insights of music consumption and engagement on the Boomplay platform, Blacko emerged as Ghana’s 2nd Most Streamed Artist of 2021 and his “First Sermon” and “Second Sermon” were the 1st and 2nd Most Streamed Songs of 2021 in Ghana.

His story written in bright stars, Black Sherif, went on to win the four awards at the 2022 3Music Awards, held in March 2022, including the Boomplay Breakthrough Act of the Year. At the same event, he debuted a spectacular performance of his latest single, “Kwaku the Traveller”.

The song skyrocketed him to African stardom and peaked at NO.1 on both Boomplay Ghana and Nigeria charts. It currently has over 40 million streams on Boomplay.

Blacko is truly a superstar in the making, and the journey continues for Kweku the Traveller! Congratulations to the son of Konongo Zongo!
