OT n Aiges Starts The Year with “View Once”

OT n Aiges return with “View Once,” a smooth, mid-tempo Afrobeats record that pulls back the curtain on the digital double-lives of modern romance.

The track tells the high-stakes story of a young man caught in a dangerous balancing act: relaxing at home with his fiancée while managing a secret, vanishing connection on his phone. When a provocative video arrives set to “View Once,” it disappears as quickly as it came, leaving him craving one more look.

“View Once” captures the frantic, whispered energy of the “disappearing message” era. Between the infectious groove and the relatable storytelling, the song follows the protagonist as he retreats to the shadows, pleading for a resend and promising total discretion: No posts, no leaks, just one more look.

Blending slick production with a narrative that feels like a leaked group chat, OT n Aiges deliver a track that is as catchy as it is controversial.

Ghanaian Artiste RKB Opens Up About Painful Discovery: Child He Raised for 11 Years Not Biologically His

Ghanaian musician RKB, one half of the rising music duo GH Family has shared a deeply personal and heartbreaking chapter of his life that left him emotionally shaken.

In an exclusive and emotional interview with the GHVIBE Media team, RKB revealed that a DNA paternity test has confirmed he is not the biological father of the boy he has lovingly raised, supported, and considered his son for over eleven years.

RKB recounted that he first met Faustina Ohene from Dodowa on 31 December 2012 at Trinity Baptist Church. He explained that he got into a relationship with Faustina a year after they met. Faustina then claimed she had cancelled her marriage which was almost due but could not materialize because of age difference.

“Within a few weeks she told me she was pregnant and that the child was mine,” he explained. “From the very beginning I had a gut feeling something wasn’t right because she had thrown herself at me so quickly but I had no proof. I even told the family that the child wasn’t mine because he didn’t look like me but they always gave me an excuse after the other. I couldn’t accuse her without evidence, so I chose to take responsibility.”

RKB fully embraced fatherhood. He supported Faustina throughout the pregnancy, provided financially, and remained actively involved in the child’s life for more than a decade, covering school fees, medical needs, clothing, and every aspect of upbringing a committed father would.

Years later, Faustina reportedly began pressuring RKB, a UK resident, to bring the boy to live with him in Britain. According to RKB, she threatened to abandon the child if he did not step in, claiming the responsibility was hindering her personal growth and progress.

With no other viable option and wanting the best for the boy, RKB arranged for him to relocate to the UK.

As part of the standard UK immigration and family reunification process, a legal paternity test is required to confirm the parent-child relationship before proceeding further.

Unsure and still carrying that quiet doubt from years earlier, RKB quietly arranged a private DNA test through BluePrint DNA Organization without informing Faustina at the time. The result was devastating. He was not the biological father of the boy.

When asked about his next steps, RKB spoke with remarkable calm and maturity.

“I’ve decided to return the boy to his mother,” he said. “I hold no bitterness. I won’t demand any money back. I’ve left the entire situation in God’s hands.”

He added that, despite the emotional weight of the revelation, he currently feels mentally and emotionally stable.

“I’m in a good place right now. I don’t feel the need for psychological support, at least not at this moment. My focus is shifting back to my music and the work I still have to do.”

Through the hurt, RKB is channeling his energy into creativity. He and his GH Family partner are encouraging fans to stay connected through their music.

The duo recently released their vibrant debut single “Do Your Dance” a joyful, Swahili-infused Afrobeat track that celebrates movement, freedom, and African spirit.

Stream “Do Your Dance” now on all major platforms:

We wish RKB continued healing, renewed inspiration, and greater success in his music journey ahead.

Ghana’s Masquerade Federation Aims For Global Carnival Dominance

The electrifying visit of internet sensation Ishowspeed briefly focused the world’s eyes on Ghana’s pop culture pulse. Now, a homegrown institution is crafting a far more enduring legacy, aiming to plant Ghana’s flag firmly on the global carnival map. The National Federation of Masqueraders and Fancy Dress of Ghana (NFMFD-GH), through a strategic rebirth and bold international vision, is preparing to export one of the nation’s most dynamic art forms to the world’s most famous streets.

This journey begins with a conscious break from the past. The federation shed its former identity as the Gold Coast Masqueraders and Fancy Dress Association, a name that tethered it to a colonial era. “We needed a name that reflected a sovereign, unified, and ambitious Ghana,” explains Nii Tettey Oku, National President of the NFMFD-GH. “‘National Federation’ speaks to our structure and seriousness. It tells the world we are the central, organized hub for an entire industry, ready for professional engagement on any stage.”

Critical to this outward push is a powerful digital handshake: the professional website www.nfmfdgh.org. This platform is the federation’s global portfolio, designed to bridge the gap between Ghana’s communities and international event directors. “Our website is our passport,” says Abena Serwaa, the Federation’s International Relations Director. “It allows a carnival organizer in France or Canada to instantly witness the power, diversity, and professionalism of our craft. It moves us from a local secret to a globally bookable cultural asset.”

While the federation’s vibrant performances have, until now, been a celebrated domestic treasure, their sights are set on an ambitious international roster. The federation is in active preparations and discussions to bring Ghanaian masquerade and fancy dress to iconic events including the Nice Carnival in France, the Dominican Republic Carnival, the Boston Carnival in the USA, the Toronto and Montreal Carnivals in Canada, and the legendary Notting Hill Carnival in London, among others.

“We are not just waiting for an invitation; we are proactively building the case for Ghana’s inclusion,” Nii Oku asserts. “We study these festivals, understand their themes, and prepare presentations that showcase our art form’s uniqueness while complementing their existing tapestry. Our goal is to be the must-see, must-have act that brings a fresh, African narrative to these global celebrations.”

This international ambition, however, is intrinsically linked to a grand domestic vision. The federation aims to channel the expertise and prestige gained from global exposure into creating a landmark National Festival of Masquerades and Fancy Dress in Ghana. This event is envisioned as a major economic catalyst.

“Imagine the creative economy boom,” says Prof. Akosua Adomako, a cultural economist. “A successful national festival, inspired by international standards, would create thousands of jobs from costume artisans and musicians to caterers, security, and tour guides. It would stimulate tourism across regions and provide a sustainable income stream for our members. The global and local strategies fuel each other.”

The federation’s path is clear: to use a modern identity and digital savvy to open international doors, and to use that global recognition to build a transformative cultural economy at home. They are meticulously preparing for their moment on the world’s most renowned carnival avenues, ready to showcase Ghana’s heritage not as a static display, but as a living, breathing, and spectacular performance art. The world’s carnival circuit is their target, and they are poised to make an unforgettable entrance.

Belgium-Based Ghanaian Star Rebbel Ashes Calls For United Front In Global Push For Ghanaian Music

In a candid and passionate interview on Real Talk with Sammy Flex on Sammy Flex TV, Belgium-based Ghanaian musician Rebbel Ashes has urged the nation’s artists and stakeholders to unite and accelerate the global promotion of Ghanaian music. The multi-talented artist, known for bridging Afrobeat, hiplife, and rap, described the current moment as “long overdue” for Ghanaian sounds to claim their rightful place on the world stage.

Rebbel Ashes, who has built a strong presence in Europe while staying deeply rooted in his Ghanaian heritage, highlighted the disparities in how African music is perceived and marketed internationally. “Many non-Africans still view Africa as one big country or continent in one,” he explained. “But there are major differences and Nigerians have smartly used the Afrobeats card to market their music globally, even though the genre belongs to the whole continent.”
He emphasized that Ghana’s push should not be limited to highlife alone. “Our aim should not just be pushing highlife music,” Rebbel asserted. “Every genre practiced in Ghana from hiplife and Afro-fusion to contemporary rap and beyond needs to be elevated so we get a brighter chance at the table.”
The artist pointed to the growing international appetite for African music as a prime opportunity. “Non-Africans are now really into African music,” he noted. “If we all come together in a united front to push our music to the outside world, we will go global.”
Rebbel also spotlighted his latest release, “What’s My Name” (Yɛ Frɛ Me Sɛn) featuring BK Smooth, which continues to dominate airwaves, streaming platforms, and social media discussions across Ghana and beyond.
The track exemplifies his signature fusion style blending West Coast hip-hop vibes with hiplife rhythms and serves as a powerful reminder of Ghana’s rich musical diversity.
Check out the captivating artwork and visuals from the single:

Rebbel Ashes’ message arrives amid a surge in Ghanaian music’s international traction, with artists increasingly exporting their sounds worldwide. His call for collective action resonates as the industry eyes even greater heights in 2026.
“What’s My Name” (Yɛ Frɛ Me Sɛn) by Rebbel Ashes featuring BK Smooth is now available on all major platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, Boomplay, and Audiomack.
