MTV EMA 2022: Burna Boy Beats Black Sherif, Others To Win Best Africa Act
Burna Boy, a Nigerian music star, has been named Best Africa Act at the 2022
Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy, was named Best Africa Act at the
MTV Europe. Music Awards for 2022 on Sunday (November 13).
This is Burna Boy’s second win in this category (his first win being 2019).
His co-nominees this year include Nigerians Tems and Ayra Starr, as well as Ghanaian Black Sherif.
Burna Boy has now joined fellow Nigerian artist Wizkid in winning two awards in the same
category in 2016 and 2021, respectively.
